Nintendo has announced the release date for Drag x Drive. The game launches on Switch 2 via the eShop on August 14. It will cost $19.99, which is around £16. This is a fast-paced three-on-three sports game with a twist.

What is Drag x Drive?

This is not your typical sports game. You don’t just press buttons—you move the Joy-Con 2 controllers like a mouse. Place them on a flat surface. Slide both to move forward. Slide one to turn. It\’s simple but fresh.

To shoot, raise your hand and flick your wrist. That’s it. You can also use a half-pipe to launch into the air. Pull off tricks. Score big with stylish dunks. The game is all about movement and timing.

Play online or practise solo

You can play online with friends or against others. Want to practise first? There’s a solo mode with computer players. It’s a good way to learn the controls.
