Bond is stepping into the spotlight this week. Sony and IO Interactive have announced a PlayStation State of Play dedicated entirely to 007 First Light, and it’s happening on September 3.
007 First Light announcement trailer
The stream kicks off at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET, live on YouTube and Twitch. And this isn’t just another flashy trailer. We’re getting over 30 minutes of raw gameplay, including a full playthrough of James Bond’s first mission as an MI6 recruit. After that, the devs will break down what went into bringing the world’s most famous spy to life.

For fans waiting to see whether IO’s take on Bond matches their Hitman legacy, this is the moment. A meaty half-hour showcase should finally show how 007 First Light handles action, stealth, and style.
The game itself is still two years away. It’s set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and Nintendo’s next-gen Switch 2.

Bond’s origins are about to unfold in full view.
